MARY EILEEN PURCELL

Mary Eileen Purcell is an associate attorney of Consolo Law Firm Ltd and focuses her practice in the area of workers’ compensation law, including defending employers against workers’ compensation claims and counseling employers on creating safety programs and employee policies geared towards injury free workplaces.

Mary concentrates her practice on defense of workers’ compensation claims and has represented a wide variety of state-funded and self-insured employers at Industrial Commission hearings throughout the State as well as in Ohio’s courts.

Mary is experienced in defending workers’ claims for injury allowance and compensation, including temporary total compensation, wage loss, living maintenance, permanent partial disability, permanent total disability and death claims. Mary also counsels employers on cost control measures such as wage continuation, modified or transitional work, handicap reimbursements and lump sum settlements.

Mary is also experienced in counseling and assisting employers in updating employee manuals to contain accident reporting forms, drug/alcohol screening tests and training supervisory employees on accident investigation.

Mary is a 1994 graduate of the University of Toledo School of Law and admitted to practice before all courts of Ohio and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio since 1994. In 1997 she was certified by the OSBA as a specialist in workers’ compensation law and is recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer in workers’ compensation law.

SHERRI N. McCOMAS

Sherri Neiding McComas is an associate attorney of Consolo Law Firm Ltd, whose practice is devoted to the defense of workers’ compensation claims. Since 1989, Sherri has assisted state-funded and self-insured employers in the management and defense of workers’ compensation claims. Her experience includes representation of employers concerning allowance and compensation issues at all levels of the administrative process, as well as in trial and appellate court. In addition, Sherri has defended employers against discrimination and wrongful discharge claims.

Sherri is a graduate of Miami University and The Ohio State University School of Law. She is admitted to practice before all Ohio courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

DEBRA RANN

Debra Rann is the Legal Assistant/Office Manager for Consolo Law Firm Ltd. Debbie has 10 years experience in assisting with the management and defense of workers’ compensation claims both at the administrative and court levels.

Debbie is experienced in preparing for workers’ compensation hearings, case management, and medical and employment records analysis. She also is responsible for preparation and organization of trial exhibits.
